The paw print represents not only cats and dogs but any animal without hooves. The horse shoe represents not only horses but any animal with hooves. 

The ark, Noah's Ark represents that all animals will have a friend. In Noah's Ark in the Bible they came two by two, male and female so they could reproduce.  We are not trying to reproduce but there are many animals that are herd animals or social so this represents that they will not be alone. It also means that a bonded pair will never be separated .
